About Our School

Hartley Clark is located in the town of Spiritwood, about 130 km north east of North Battleford. Named for Mr. Hartley Clark, a longstanding member of the Local Board of Trustees and the Division Board, the new elementary school opened in 1979. Currently we have an enrolment of about 95 students and a professional staff of 7.25 teachers, a secretary/librarian, 5.5 educational assistants and a caretaker.

Vision:
By June 2028, 100% of students will demonstrate growth in executive functioning and learning skills, including self-regulation, organization, planning, goal setting, perseverance, communication, collaboration, problem solving, and independent learning. As a result, every student will be equipped with the confidence, skills, and mindset needed to successfully transition to the next grade level or a new school and thrive in new learning environments.

Mission:
We believe that every student can succeed.  Academic success, leadership, well-being, and lifelong learning are strengthened when students develop the executive functioning skills needed to manage themselves, work with others, and navigate challenges independently.
